The Snorri Program Scholarship
The Snorri Foundation is a non-profit organization that operates the Snorri Program. The Snorri Program is a unique opportunity for young people (18-28) of Icelandic origin or descent living in Canada and the United States of America, to discover their roots in a multi-week summer program in Iceland. Applications accepted March 1 – April 1.
Any American citizen who is a current member of the INLUS either as an individual or through their local Icelandic Club or organization which is a member of INLUS.
Applicant must be officially accepted to Snorri.
Applicant must complete and submit the scholarship form
Two Letters of Recommendation attesting to the applicant’s character, educational interests, volunteerism, and related aptitudes must accompany the application form.
Scholarship Payment, Permissions, and Presentations
All recipients must grant INLUS permission to use their photo and name in all official INLUS publications and promotional materials.
Recipients are expected to give a presentation at their local Icelandic club, one close to them, and/or online at an INLUS webinar.
Recipients are required to tag INLUS on all Snorri related social media posts during their stay in Iceland.
Recipients are required to write an article with photos about their experience, which will be shared on the INLUS online newsletter.
